On June 25th, China Engineering Education Accreditation Association (CEEAA) officially released a notice of accreditation of 422 programs ([2022] No. 21), among which, there are 18 automation programs. HFU’s Automation Program, one of the two in Anhui province, has passed the accreditation, with the validity term of six years.
From October 25th to 26th, 2021, CEEAA experts conducted an on-site inspection of the Automation Program (School of Advanced Manufacturing Engineering) at HFU. At the feedback meeting afterwards, the experts fully affirmed the construction of this program, and put forward suggestions in terms of training objectives, curriculum system, and graduation requirements.
The Engineering Education Accreditation is an internationally accepted education quality assurance system and also an important foundation for international mutual recognition of engineering education and engineers’ qualification. Since 2016, China has been the signatory to the Washington Accord. The Washington Accord has recognized the Engineering programs accredited by CEEAA, which means the quality of the programs and the education level have been in line with international standards, so as to provide internationally recognized “pass” for automation graduates.
In the future, in the light of the Engineering Education Accreditation, HFU will continue to strengthen the program construction and improve the quality of undergraduate teaching, implementing its “student-centered, output-oriented and continuous-improvement” concept.
