Cloud Meeting Held at the 14th Sino-German Symposium

On the afternoon of October 28th, after the opening ceremony keynote speeches are delivered by some Chinese and German experts at the 14th Sino-German Symposium on Applied Higher Education, hosted by Professor Hendrik Lackner, a visiting professor of Hefei University. Experts conduct comprehensive exchanges on “Future-oriented Sino-German Cooperation: Dual-system Higher Education” online and offline.

Professor Wolfgang Ahrens Fischer, Dean of School of Dual Education of Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences, makes a report, introducing the development and current situation of the dual-system higher education.

Professor Wu Chunmei, HFU President, gives a speech on “Specialty, Employment and Industry: A Trinity Talents Training Mode of Hefei University”, which establishes a dynamic adjustment mechanism of specialty to cultivate talents with innovation and international vision.

 Professor Shi Hanwei (Helwig Schmidt-Glintzer), Vice President of the International Confucian Association, delivers a report on “Sino-German Academic Cooperation”. With the rapid development of China, Chinese culture has attracted attention from all over the world, while Germany will have a deeper understanding of it for their friendly cooperation, he said.

The keynote reports center on the future development and forms of Sino-German cooperation, especially the innovative development of the dual-system higher education. The mode of dual-system higher education based on practice suggests the positive efforts and achievements made by both China and Germany in educational cooperation.
