Jointly sponsored by Memorial University of Newfoundland(Canada), Sino-German Economic Development and Innovation Research Center of HFU(shortened as the Sino-German Center) holds “2019 International Symposium on Human Capital & Economic Development”from May 11 to 12, which attracts over 100 experts from all over the world.
At the opening ceremony, Dr. Cai Jingmin, Chair of HFU Council, introduces HFU’s development concept and innovative achievements as the leading one of applied universities in China.
Dr.Beatrice Knerr, a tenure professor of University of Kassel(Germany) as well as its ex-director of the Department of Immigration-Development Economics-Agricultural Policy, gives a systematic introduction to human capital theory and proposes suggestions for middle-income trap. Meanwhile, experts from home and abroad also share their views on human capital and economic development.
This symposium greatly enhances the research on integration of the Yangtze River Delta and human capital and economic development.
