On April 16th, Prof. Cai Jingmin, Chair of HFU Council, meets the delegation from the University of Birmingham, led by its vice president professor Jonathan Frampton,  as well as Director of China School.

With a brief introduction to HFU’s history and development, Prof. Cai points out that HFU’s program settings meet the demand of local social and economic development by integrating teaching with production. One of the typical examples is HFU’s participation in the programs of Hefei Rail Transit. In this case, he hopes to deepen the communication and exchanges with University of Birmingham, especially in the field of rail transit.

Looking forward to cooperating with HFU in the future, Prof. Frampton first introduces University of Birmingham as the legacy of British Industrial Revolution, and then remarks that it takes lead in such programs as energy and manufacture, which has a competitive research center for track technology and inter-disciplinaryteams. Afterwards, communicating with HFU’s R&D teams of rail transit, Prof. Chen Lei from the University of Birmingham introduces Birmingham Centre for Railway Research and Education (BCRRE), which is a global pilot in the field.
